For Flight Planners:

· Quick, versatile conversion of coordinates from emails and text sources to a common database format

For Flight Crews:

· Consistent, easy to read flight-plan sheets

· Flight Plans include times and distances to/from projects and sun angle windows for time-planning.

· Local weather station contact information for each project, when available

· Printable street maps from MS MapPoint (optional: MapPoint required, available separately)

· Printable Film/Project report sheet with key elements of the project

For Pilots:

· Printable pilot’s flight-plan that includes a list of the locations of each line endpoint in reference to VOR stations and airports (SF3 provides the radial and distance of each waypoint from the closest VOR station and airport).*

· A summary is provided listing the full name of each VOR station and airport referenced.  CTAF, tower, approach, and weather frequencies are listed when available — as are details about the largest available runway for each airport referenced *

· The two closest weather (AWOS/ASOS) stations to the project are listed, including landline dialup numbers.*

SF3 is an integral part of our automated camera triggering and management system, now in beta-testing.

Updates, Files, and GPS

SF3 is built around a core of coordinate interpretation filters that make reformatting a variety of flight line coordinates to a common format that can be imported into other software packages and GPS receivers, easier.  One of those formats is the GPS-Exchange format.   .GPX files are very common and can be uploaded to GPS receivers and imported into an ever-growing number of digital mapping packages such as Google Earth and Garmin's MapSource.

As an ongoing effort to make SF3 more versatile we'll be glad to try and add coordinate import filters and additional file output options.   If you have an additional common format and would like to see it added, please write us.
